Dear Parishioners,
Tomorrow, our country celebrates Columbus Day. As Catholics we can be thrilled that he began evangelization in the Americas. (St. Brendan was the first Christian on this side of the planet, but he returned to Ireland after discovering Nova Scotia.)
Our office will be closed. We will also keep the church closed from 2-4.
We will have Mass at 8 AM.
And I will be available for confessions from 2-4 and 5:30-7:30. However, I'll understand if you want to wait until another day when it isn't raining.
During the holiday I'll be doing some genealogy. When we research our family history, we can learn more about who we are and who God has made us to be. Lately, I've been focusing on questions from relatives to help them in their searches.
God love you,
Fr. Jim
