Dear Parishioners,
Rosary for America
The USCCB is sponsoring a Rosary for America today at 3 PM. Visit
here.
Rosary Altar Society Meeting
We'll be broadcasting the meeting on YouTube and GoToMeeting at 2 PM today. Praying the rosary is the main item on the agenda. The church and parish hall will be open for as many as 80 ladies.
Rosary Rally
On Saturday, we'll have our America Needs Fatima Rosary Rally outside the front of the rectory at 12 Noon. Bring Your Own Beach Chair. Households stay six feet apart. Bring your masks.
Religious Education
Mr. Colon, our 8th grade teacher, has opted to keep his virtual class separate. So, he'll be teaching three sections of 8th graders.
As a result, I plan to use our second best camera and microphone for our 7th grade virtual students at 7:15 PM. Hopefully, they can meet in the chapel where we have a fast computer.
Our third best set-up will be for our 4th grade virtual students at 7:15 PM in their class room.
After this evening, I'll order some new equipment. I want to see how tonight goes in order to figure out what we really need.
Knights of Columbus
It was great to see the Knights in-person last night. The meeting was shorter than usual. We maintained our masks and six foot distance during the meeting.
Christmas Planning
We received a quote for outdoor speakers and an FM transmitter. We'll definitely get the FM transmitter. I'm going to seek counsel from our councils about the outdoor speakers.
Coronavirus Update
CovidActNow.org downgraded Ocean County from red to orange status. Let's pray that this trend continues.
So called "Reproductive Freedom Act"
Tomorrow, the NJ legislature will propose a "
Reproductive Freedom Act". An expansion of abortion in NJ would cause even more harm to our society. Our NJ bishops have issued the following statement
here.
God love you,
Fr. Jim
