Dear Parishioners,
Governor Murphy increased the inside gathering limit from 50 to 100. Bishop O'Connell confirmed the increase for our parishes. This increase affects daily Mass, baptisms, weddings, funerals, First Holy Communions, and confirmations.
Our new limit for these liturgies is 100 while maintaining social distancing.
Our Sunday Mass limit is one-third seating capacity while maintaining social distancing.
Each household can sit together. Household sizes will determine how many people can fit inside our church.
Our Sunday Mass limit includes the following possibilities:
60 individuals = 60 people
30 individuals + 32 couples = 94 people
30 individuals + 32 four person households = 158 people
7 individuals + 18 couples + 32 four person households = 171 people
These numbers are estimates and theoretical. Based on recent Mass attendance about half our households are individuals and half are couples. We will rarely be able fit more than 90 people. The exception will be First Holy Communions and Confirmations when most households will be couples and families of four.
God love you,
Fr. Jim
