Dear Parishioners,
Confessions
I forgot to write about the other frequent sacrament: Confession. Above is an old picture. Now, you can kneel, sit, or stand when going to confession in the back of our parish hall. If you want to go face to face, then go to the right to see me through the plastic.
A sign is posted in the church near the canopy entrance where the confession line can begin. If no one is going to confession, you can walk to the back of the parish hall where I'll be waiting.
Currently, we have confessions on Mondays from 2-4 PM and 6-7 PM as well as during the Friday 3 PM holy hour.
We're not yet ready to move confessions to the new confession room opposite the candle room. The new pandemic protocols call for good ventilation. I've asked Tom to investigate how much it would cost to add ventilation in the wings, candle room, and new confessional room. Until then we'll continue confessions in the back of the parish hall.
Private Prayer
Today and on Mondays for the foreseeable future (except holidays), the church will be open from 7:30 AM to 7 PM for private prayer. We lock the church at 4 PM from Tuesday through Friday. The church is open Saturday morning and evening (but not afternoon) as well as Sunday morning through the last event.
God love you,
Fr. Jim
