Dear Parishioners,
Chrism Mass
Last night, Bishop O'Connell celebrated the Chrism Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral in Freehold. Because of social distancing priests and seminarians filled the co-cathedral. The Mass was livestreamed. You could watch a recording at
One of my sisters and a parishioner saw me at the beginning. It seems to me that parishioners like to see their parish priests at the Chrism Mass. One of our bishop's points in his homily is that we're not alone. I needed to be reminded of that because I've hardly seen any priests during this last year. While we still need to be careful, it was good to see the bishop and my fellow priests.
Vaccines
The
Manchester Patch updates their list of vaccination sites and strategies every week
here. I've started checking
OCHD.org to try to schedule an appointment at Toms River North but have not been successful. OCHD also has a list of vaccination sites. I tried several but failed. I have not tried mega-sites that are one hour away.
